Homemade shampoo for dandruff 2023

Lavender

Just a few drops of lavender oil in a neutral shampoo that we apply on our hair will remove dandruff progressively, in addition to its great smell for our hair, so we will have a nice and clean mane. This oil is one of the cheapest on the market and in any natural products store such as a herbalist, we can buy lavender oil for about 5€ each small bottle that will last us about 6 months depending on our use.

Citrus

We have many types of citrus oils such as lemon or orange to remove grease from our hair, this can be a very economical option. They can also help us with depression thanks to their antidepressant properties.

Tea tree

There is usually a relationship with fungi. It is a very effective oil for this type of alopecia.
It smells a bit unpleasant, so we advise you to combine it with another oil that smells good, such as lavender oil.

Peppermint

Peppermint works well for all types of dandruff, especially those with a lot of sebum. It also brings freshness and soothes itching. We can apply it directly with some peppermint oil or by adding it to our daily shampoo.

Natural shampoo for seborrheic dermatitis 2023

The best natural shampoos for seborrheic dermatitis would be:

  • Shampoos formulated with Selenium Bisulfide that eliminate flaking.
  • Coal tar to fight bacteria in the affected area.
  • Ketoconazole for itching and desquamation.

All these home treatments should be done continuously until our alopecia has improved or our area is in better condition.

Seborrheic dermatitis affects our skin with inflammations or dandruff or red and irritated skin leading to the loss of our hair that is damaging this oily dermatitis.

It usually appears on the head, face or chin. Try not to bathe too much because of excess moisture from the shower and avoid using water that is too hot, as it can cause the scalp to become red and itchy.
