What is dandruff alopecia? Definition 2023.
This alopecia also called telogen effluvium, the presence of dandruff or scalp dandruff is not directly related to hair loss, it does cause an unpleasant itching sensation that promotes excessive itching leading to consequences, in many cases, for example, as hair thinning and eventually hair loss.
What causes dandruff alopecia?
The dandruff that appears in our hair is caused by these triggers:
- DNA of the person (by their genetics).
- Stress.
- A bad diet.
- You do not tolerate certain substances such as shampoos, gels or hair products.
- Malassezia type fungi.
These unprotected hairs eventually break and can lead to total hair loss in the medium to long term.
Dandruff alters the stratum corneum, which prevents the disappearance of mature cells and causes flaking of the scalp, leading to the formation of dandruff.
Many factors can be affected, including conditions such as seborrheic dermatitis, Parkinson’s disease, psoriasis or even HIV. There are also psychological causes, such as fear, continuous and long-lasting stress or stressful emotional situations such as the loss of a family member or the breakup of a partner.
Treatment of dandruff alopecia 2023
- Dealing with stress.
- Wash your hair daily with appropriate anti-dandruff shampoo.
- Do not abuse anti-dandruff shampoo daily, give your hair a break and combine it with neutral shampoos.
- Reduce the use of chemical hair products.
The well-known ingredient of this product is zinc pyrithione, which has antifungal activity.
It removes dead skin cells and prevents dandruff.
